I have seen Fast Ship + Torps = I Win, become the Meta in Co-Op. I remember Jingles as a self professed troll looking for views, who got mad when folks bested him in game. I remember open water Stealth Attacks with Torp Soup and the cries of "this is the end of DDs" when they made it a bit harder to Stealth Torp. You probably remember the meme Jingles made out of these players in video after video when the game was in the first year or so. You've surely seen the players with absolutely no awareness, straightlining the whole game, while zoomed in looking for their next target. You're a beta tester, so you've been here from the beginning. Dethroning previously OP ships is more often meta changes than player skill. Their average plane kills are all the same though (0.01) Gremmy is not far behindÄȘctually, WOW took a MASSIVE nerf bat to the armor allowing every ship in the game to do real damage, removed the range mod (stealth nerf), and added endless spotting to the game meta (stealth nerf). Kamikaze has a WR 1.5% better than her sisters, does 2K more damage on average, and has a better kill/death ratio. The players playing them do make a difference. GC is a good example but there are others. Some ships start off this way until the playerbase learns how to deal with them (Smolensk). Those ships that are perpetually at the top of the Ship Stats by a significant margin after a hundred thousand battles probably qualify as OP. If they are extremely easy to do well in then they are OP. Player skill being equal, some ships are just easer to do well in. Obviously a good player in a bad ship will beat a bad player in a good ship BUT.
